A .tripl bundle is a single file containing your whole account: every expense, every receipt file, and your custom categories. It exists so your data is portable.
When to use a bundle
- ●A complete offline backup you control.
- ●Moving data between Tripl on the web and Tripl Local.
- ●Keeping a snapshot before making big changes.
Export a bundle
Go to Settings, find Tripl Bundle, and click Download .tripl bundle. You get a file named like tripl-export-2026-07-01.tripl. It is a ZIP under the hood, so you can open it and inspect the contents yourself.
Import a bundle
In the same section, click Import .tripl bundle and pick the file. Importing is safe to repeat:
- ●Expenses already in your account are skipped, not duplicated.
- ●New categories are added.
- ●Receipts are restored and attached to their expenses.
When it finishes, Tripl reports exactly what was imported and what was skipped.
