Forward receipts by email

A lot of medical receipts arrive by email. Pharmacy confirmations, dentist invoices, insurance statements. You can forward them straight into Tripl.

How it works

Forward the email to receipts@triplapp.com. Tripl matches the sender address to your account, pulls out the receipt, and parses it like any other upload.

Linked addresses

Forwards only work from email addresses linked to your account. Your sign-up email is linked automatically. To add more, like a spouse's address or a work email, go to Settings and find Forwarding Addresses.

This is handy for households. Link your partner's email and either of you can forward receipts to the same Tripl account.

Tips

  • Forward the original email so the attachment or receipt details come through.
  • On the iOS app, you get a push notification when a forwarded receipt lands.
  • Check the parsed fields afterward, same as any upload.

Common questions

Why did my forwarded receipt not show up?

The most common cause is forwarding from an address that is not linked to your account. Check Settings, then Forwarding Addresses, and add the address you sent from.

Can my spouse forward receipts to my account?

Yes. Add their email under Forwarding Addresses in Settings. Anything they forward to receipts@triplapp.com lands in your shared expense list.
