Getting started with Tripl

Tripl tracks HSA receipts so you can reimburse yourself tax-free later. You get 5 free receipts to try it. No card required.

1. Create an account

Go to triplapp.com and click Start free. You can sign up with an email and password, or continue with Google or Apple.

2. Add your first receipt

On the dashboard, click the teal + button in the bottom-right corner. You will see four options:

  • Upload Receipts lets you drag in photos or PDFs from your computer.
  • Snap Receipt shows a QR code you scan with your phone to take a photo.
  • Manual Entry creates an expense without a receipt file.
  • Quick Reimburse logs a lump-sum reimbursement (more on that later).

Tripl reads the receipt and fills in the date, amount, category, and description for you. Check the fields and fix anything it got wrong.

3. Watch your total grow

The dashboard shows your Tax-Free Withdrawable total. That is the amount you can pay yourself back from your HSA at any time. There is no deadline. Many people let it sit for years while their HSA grows.

What the free plan includes

Your first 5 receipts are free with full features: AI parsing, reimbursement tracking, and exports. A counter on the dashboard shows how many you have used. After 5, a subscription covers unlimited receipts on both web and the iOS app.

Common questions

Do I need a credit card to try Tripl?

No. The free plan includes 5 receipts with full features, and there is no trial timer. You only pay if you want unlimited receipts.

Does Tripl connect to my HSA provider?

No. Tripl tracks your receipts and reimbursements independently, so it works with any HSA provider. You reimburse yourself through your provider as usual and log it in Tripl.
