Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Tripl (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Tripl is a personal expense tracking tool that helps individuals organize and manage Health Savings Account (HSA) receipts and reimbursements. The Service includes receipt storage, optional AI-powered receipt parsing, expense tracking, and data export features.
3. Not Financial or Medical Advice
Tripl is a record-keeping tool only. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, tax, medical, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for determining which expenses are HSA-eligible and for the accuracy of your records. Consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's consent to use the Service.
5. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide a valid email address and must not share your account with others. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
6. Your Data
You retain ownership of all data you upload or enter into Tripl, including receipt images, expense records, and personal information. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely to provide the Service to you.
You may export or delete your data at any time through your account settings. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is handled.
7. AI Processing
The Service offers optional AI-powered receipt parsing using third-party AI services (currently Anthropic's Claude). When enabled, your receipt content is sent to these services for automated data extraction. AI-generated results may contain errors, and you are responsible for reviewing and correcting extracted data. You may disable AI processing at any time in your account settings.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Upload malicious files or content designed to exploit the Service
- Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
- Interfere with the operation or security of the Service
- Use the Service to store data unrelated to personal expense tracking
9. Accuracy of Data
While Tripl strives to store your data accurately and provides AI tools to help extract receipt information, we do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any AI-extracted data. Investment projections and illustrations on our marketing pages are hypothetical and not guarantees of future results.
10. Service Availability
We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from Service downtime.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tripl and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tripl and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
14. Termination
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Nevada, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
